Original Description
1965.300.0067: 1903 view of Chewelah Main Street. The colonial building in left foreground was the Pomeroy Hotel. Built and operated by Henry Pomeroy, this building was destroyed by fire the same year this photo was taken. Hwy 395 would be just east of the hotel. Across the street was the Krug Building which also burned in this year. All wooden builings on main street but one (Dr Hardwick's office) have been replaced. Note the Spray wagon in front of the hotel. Odd Fellows Hall on extreme left.
