Industrial facilities-Washington-Stevens; Mining-Washington-Chewelah; Quarrying-Washington-Stevens;

1965.30.030; Dempster Dumpster on new 1942 white truck. This was an improved hauling method over the mine cars and truck. No tracks were necessary and with this vehicle, tubs could be accurately spotted at the mucking face. This method of mining was phased out by 1943 when the Sink and Float Mill took over the sorting job and power shovels and rock trucks moved the material from quarry to mill.
